Most data quality services are designed from the perspective of “postal compliance”. The objective is to standardize and match records to postal specifications. The challenge with this view is that it makes a key erroneous assumption – that all postal delivery mail streams are identical. They are not. A portion of the U.S. mail is fully automated, some is semi-automated, and much is still hand-cased. Our Response Technology takes a different tact – by focusing on response first, compliance second. Obtaining a postal discount through address compliance is important, but not nearly as important as having the promotion delivered (to a responsive individual) in the first place. The responder knowledgebase is the feedback – a critical element to understanding cause & effect of data quality.
